To follow Passion or not to follow...

Starting off with the right affiliate marketing strategy is crucial if you desire to make money online. A good number of affiliates start off in a niche base on what they know and like best, centering their online business around something they are passionate about.

And yet strangely, eighty percent of these budding affiliates are under performed, show lagging results and eventually give up their business. Perhaps the reasons to failure are laziness or a lack of perseverance. But that is not the case. So what and where has gone wrong ? Have they use the wrong affiliate marketing strategy ?

To drill deeper into this issue, the old saying of "do what you love and the money will follow" is accountable for added failures than likely any other factors.

The demand is simply negligible. Maybe there's a couple of searches on Google for the topic per day, and perhaps there's a small group of interest in the online "gardening enthusiast" communities - but you will have a hard time making even a few dollars a month from the ebook sales.

Likewise, you will equally face a hard time getting rich by building websites centered on seemingly "popular" topics like humor, funny pictures and etc. Even though there are a number of ways to "monetize" your website (with AdSense, CPA Offers, CPM Banners, etc.), it requires millions of website visitors to earn a few thousand dollars centered around these markets.

If you desire to succeed online, applying the right affiliate marketing strategy is instrumental in pulling down an impressive six-figure income - you need to tap into markets with tons of demand, where the majority of the visitors are valuable.

Did you know that some affiliates make several thousand dollars daily simply promoting just a single product in hot markets? (Can you imagine what the merchant is making...)

In selected markets there is infact so much demand that the vendors are plainly selling over a thousand units - or more - per day. Digital products, with practically zero overhead/delivery cost.

To make money online it all boils down to applying the appropriate affiliate marketing strategy that is tapping into valuable demand. In most cases, it takes no additional effort or "skill" to promote to a valuable market than it does for you to struggle on with something you are passionate about.

These two critical factors - demand and buying traffic - are what differentiate the "followers" marketer from the millionaires. It a fact there's no real secret - you are likely to do well simly by selling what thousands of people are already buying.
